Learning Activity Overview

Students at Ringwood North PS have their own iPads as a part of the Victorian iPad Trial. There has been much debate surrounding the ability of the iPad to be a creative device for creating content, so we used this opportunity in being a part of the Web Elements Engaged Project to investigate whether this really was the case.

We created a series of tutorials around the concept of 'That's Apptastic', where the students shared a favourite app of theirs and how it can be used effectively. These tutorials were created using a combination of movies, screenshots and voice overs all on the iPad. The students have used many creative techniques to share their stories, highlighting the opportunity the iPad provides for students in our everyday classrooms.
